Hello everyone...
This is my first ever blog. So the question now is "why did I start blogging?" No I am not here to give out a social message nor to change the world or any other usual reason why people blog. I am here because a lot of my friends had started blogging and I thought even I should be doing the same and hence the title.
So when did this all start....I don't mean the blogging, I am talking about the "Herd Mentality". Like all kids (at least those covered by the government's sarva shiksha abhiyan) even I went to school. Please don't ask me which school. Then came the turn to choose your area of "specialization" after finishing school. Even if you do moderately well in the 10th board exams it's an unwritten rule that you have to take up Science. That's exactly what happened to me. After 2 years of junior college I had yet another opportunity to do (or rather not do) the same. But yet again I did the same. I took up Computer Engineering. I didn't know then and I still don't know why I took it up. I guess it was the mad rush to get into this field that made me choose this field.
Now again I am in a situation where I need to decide either to do what people around me are doing or just take up a path that I want to follow. I believe this is a dilemma a majority of us have faced and most of us have succumbed to peer pressure.
So will this ever stop or will we just follow the herd. I hope the third time around will be a reversal for me.
